How old does my child need to be to start? PDF Print E-mail

Children can begin training as young as age 4.
Our ATA Taekwondo programs are age-based: 

  • TINY TIGERS (ages 4-6)
  • KARATE FOR KIDS (ages 7-12)
  • TEENS AND ADULTS (ages 13 and up.)

How does Robinson’s Taekwondo differ from other schools? PDF Print E-mail

Robinson’s Taekwondo has a great track record.

Our school has been serving families in our community for over 15 years. Robinson’s Taekwondo has been ranked in the Top Ten Black Belt schools in America out of 1500 schools in the American Taekwondo Association for the past 8 years. Mr. Robinson was selected by the USMA (West Point Military Academy) to be the Head Coach of the U.S. Army Team for 7 years. All of our instructors have gone through years of training and are certified by the American Taekwondo Association. Our school is well known for greatly impacting kids, families and adults in all aspects of life and occupations, whether it be law enforcement, military, a mom or dad, or a young person in need of direction and encouragement.

Robinson’s Taekwondo offers one of the most comprehensive curriculums available. In addition to learning self defense and getting in great shape students will learn personal discipline, respect, courtesy and build confidence.

A Black Belt at Robinson’s Taekwondo is a student who has gained great strength, personal victory and academic success.

 
What can I expect when I call or come in? PDF Print E-mail

Glad you asked! All first time students are scheduled for a free one on one class with one of our instructors.

The class introduces martial arts to the students in a personal way and develops an immediate relationship between teacher and student. A student will learn basic stretches, movements, do some target work and learn some techniques that enhance listening skills, confidence and focus.  In addition further information including schedule, pricing and other areas of interest will be reviewed. Please wear sweats and a T Shirt for your first class. Students are welcome to purchase a uniform after their first class.

 
What happens after my free one on one class? PDF Print E-mail
Students are invited back to participate in a beginners class. This is free. After that class a student may join our current program or take advantage of a current special.
 
Do you offer classes for special abilities? PDF Print E-mail
Yes. We have had great success with students of various abilities including autism, hearing impairment, physical disabilities and down syndrome.
 
I am worried about getting hurt? PDF Print E-mail
Robinson’s Taekwondo offers a safe and fun program. Our school is clean, air conditioned; our floors are padded with an Olympic style training floor. In addition students wear and use the most highly approved safety equipment and are under the watchful eye of an instructor. A student or parent can expect a clean, safe well run environment where students all work and encourage each other to do their best.
